Waters calm in S.I. Mixed doubles 

Ed Perpetua and Alicia Menezes defeated the mother-son duo of Michelle and Tyler Pastro, 6-0 and 6-0 in the Round of 16 of the Staten Island Mixed Doubles yesterday at Richmond County CC. 
This round, which was rained out Sunday, contained no real upsets. 
"There were no real close matches," said tourney director Tom Carlson. "The seeds came out on top." 
The quarterfinals will take place tomorrow at the same location.
